In today’s world of hyper-connectivity, digitalization, and Big Data, data has become a crucial asset. The more data we can collect and analyze, the better decisions we can make. And the same applies to the industrial sector.

Aritium is a startup founded in 2021 that develops innovative solutions combining IoT and Artificial Intelligence to automate processes, optimize resource usage, and enhance the quality of care and experience in healthcare settings. Beemetrix specializes in developing end-to-end AIoT (Artificial Intelligence + IoT) solutions for near-real-time sensor data analysis. Their platform covers the entire process—from data acquisition and AI model integration to creating personalized dashboards for monitoring across various sectors like smart mobility and Industry 4.0.

The platform supports a wide range of industry-standard communication protocols (MQTT, LoRaWAN, HTTP, Modbus, OPC-UA, GPRS, etc.), enabling seamless connection with diverse hardware and sensors.

Backed by over 10 years of research at LAAS-CNRS, the platform simplifies building and deploying machine learning models using historical sensor data. It also includes a user-friendly explainability framework using “if-then” rules to make AI decisions more transparent.

The solution has been validated through collaborations with industrial and research partners (e.g., Inpac, Maiseo, Open Food System) and applied in various real-world use cases:

We developed an AI based solution for the assessment of the stroke risk. The product uses the electrocardiograms from wearables devices (as smartwatches) to provide a continuous monitoring of population at risk. The project integrates advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing (HPC), for the prevention and continuous monitoring of stroke, one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide.
Linking electrical signal fingerprints (such as the ECG patterns identified by our AI model) with biological signal fingerprints (such as the biomarkers identified by multi-omics technologies) has recently emerged in the literature as a catalyst for developing innovative diagnostic tools for AF. This approach holds significant potential for stroke prevention, especially if ECG patterns can serve as surrogate indicators for multi-omics biomarkers, allowing future patients to rely solely on smartwatches instead of undergoing costly DNA sequencing or protein extraction.
